Abstract

The accelerating climate crisis, resource depletion, and mounting waste have intensified the need to transition from linear, extractive economic systems to regenerative, circular models. This paper investigates how circular business innovations can catalyze the transformation of post-carbon industrial ecosystems. Framed within the context of intensified global net-zero commitments, resource volatility, and green industrial policy, the paper synthesizes literature to trace foundational concepts and emerging trajectories. It discusses strategic shifts in product design, resource loops, business models, and systems thinking. Empirical examples and conceptual tables circular economy practices and their integration within regenerative economic logic. The paper concludes with directions for research and policy to strengthen the scalability and inclusivity of circular-industrial transitions.
