Abstract

This paper examines the significance of vernacular architecture across different cultural contexts and its reinterpretation in contemporary architectural design practices. In the face of globalization, climate change, and growing interest in sustainability, architects increasingly look to traditional building techniques for inspiration while integrating modern technologies and materials. By synthesizing cross-cultural perspectives, this study highlights the enduring value of vernacular traditions in informing context-sensitive, ecological, and socially relevant architecture. The paper situates its arguments within scholarship while reflecting on contemporary adaptations.
