Abstract

The convergence of sustainable urban architecture and digital design technologies has reshaped urban planning practices, particularly in the context of smart cities. This paper evaluates the comparative impact of parametric and algorithmic design methodologies on the development of environmentally responsive, resource-efficient, and adaptive urban architectures. Grounded in advancements, the study conducts a structured literature review to understand the evolution, benefits, and challenges associated with these design paradigms. Through comparative analysis, this research aims to determine how each approach contributes to achieving sustainability goals in smart city contexts. The paper also presents a conceptual of design integration and offers tabulated comparisons of design attributes and urban impacts.
